Conversational keypad mills are simple by today's standards, but offer adaptability and versatility for low production and unique one off parts. They play a roll in allowing MTW to take jobs that high volume shops turn away!

The history of waterjet cutting dates back to around 1850's and was mostly used in mining applications. Practical application evolved a bit entering the 1930's, where it was used in Wisconsin to cut thick reams of paper. The introduction of abrasive waterjet cutting, precision cutting became possible and led to the introduction of commercial waterjet cutters in the 1970's. The waterjet is a significant portion of MTW's foundation, and still plays a role in our day to day operations.
