What should you know about the four AESS tiers?
Tier 1 consists of basic elements. Edges have been ground smooth, weld spatters have been removed, and a continuous weld application has been made.
Tier 2 is for when the featured elements are not in close view. Welds are uniform and smooth, there are no apparent fabrication marks, and meet one-half standard fabrication tolerances.
Tier 3 is for when the featured elements are in close view. Butt and plug joints have been ground smooth and filled, joint gap tolerances have been minimized, mill marks have been removed, and seams for hollow structural sections have been oriented for reduced visibility.
Tier 4 is the elements meant to be showcased. All welds have been contoured and blended, all surfaces have been filled and sanded, HSS seams are not visible, and weld show-through has been minimized.
Many projects use a combination of these tiers, so we can create a custom plan tailored to your specific needs. Reach out to us today to discuss how AESS fits into your next project.
