Bill Brown I saw this picture today and realized that is probably what got me started with steel. At 12 I bought this go-cart from a college student that lived close to us. It wasn't running. I got the engine running and started driving around the neighborhood and in the Ricks College parking lots. I got pulled over so many times. Even though I didn't even have a driver's license at this point, they never asked me for a drivers license. They just said the go-cart wasn't legal to drive. I decided to make it street legal. It was made of solid plate. Not like the go-carts you see today. I made fenders, mounted a flag, and added brakes. Fabricated what I needed and tuned up the engine so it would go 37 mph. We didn't have 4-wheelers and UTVs back in those days so this was a novelty. WHAT A BLAST. Only lasted till a friend of mine wanted to buy it and while test driving it turned in front of a car and totaled it. Great memories.
