Good enough to win the 125 National Championship in 1995 with Steve Lamson, arguably feels even better today. Dirt Bike TV went all in on this build, including a fresh bottom end with a ProX rod kit and main bearings, Wiseco piston, ProX brake rotors, pads, chain, sprockets and more. You're going to want to watch the video over on Motocross Action's site; this thing is crisp. [grab it in the comments] ๐Ÿ’จ

50 years ago, Wiseco entered the four-stroke piston market.

This is the September 1976 issue of the "Wisecracker", our internal employee newsletter. Tucked between articles on a youth motocross win and a victory at the Westhampton kart race was a big announcement: Wiseco was entering the 4-cycle era.

Prototypes were due on the shop floor within weeks, with production of the first 11 models set for that December. The first lineup covered bikes from Honda, Kawasaki, BSA, Triumph, Norton, Harley-Davidson and Yamaha.

What started as a small new chapter for Wiseco became a major part of our story and a cornerstone of our business.

Swipe through for a look at how far we've come in the four-stroke world. Thank you to the employees, riders, racers and builders who got us here.

Unfortunately, the Wiseco John Penton GNCC was a sloppy mess, but off-road racers don't let that stop them. Even the EMTB guys ๐Ÿ˜Ž Thank you to all who came out, see you back next year!

Deno Hudson did an incredible job restoring a pair of Yamaha JT1s, touching every nut and bolt and of course fresh Wiseco pistons. These bikes were purchased as a pair in 1971 for a young brother and sister and the bikes have never been separated 55 years later.
What on your restoration wishlist?

Thanks to Deno for the video ๐Ÿค

It's race week. ๐Ÿ The Wiseco John Penton (Round 10 of GNCC) kicks off tomorrow in Millfield, Ohio. But our history with this race goes back a lot further than this weekend.

Before GNCC existed (before "extreme enduro" was even a phrase) there was the Blackwater 100. Born in 1974 in the hills of Davis, West Virginia, it became known as America's toughest race: 25-mile laps through bottomless swamps, a river crossing so brutal that spectators (nicknamed "mud fleas") lined the banks just to watch riders fight up the embankment, and finish times over five hours for the winners.

In 1984, Wiseco signed on as title sponsor of what was then the Wiseco 100-Miler Series. Two years later, it was renamed the Wiseco Grand National Cross Country Series, and GNCC racing as we know it today was officially born.

Legends like Mark Hyde, Scott Summers, Fred Andrews and Barry Hawk cut their teeth in that mud. Blackwater ran its last race in 1993, but the series it launched has grown into off-road racing's premier championship, and Wiseco's still right there, as a GNCC sponsor and title partner of the Wiseco John Penton.

Swipe through for the full story. See you in Millfield. ๐Ÿ

โ€œYou meet the nicest people on a Hondaโ€

But this isn't your 60's moped anymore, today they're pushing these small Honda Groms to another level.

Wiseco is helping the new generation of riders with all new forged pistons built for the demands of the Grom's small displacement, high revving engines to squeeze out every last bit of RPM.

New Wiseco forged pistons in multiple compression ratios and bore sizes for the Honda Grom are now available at Wiseco.com
