Meet Elyse, Commercial Marketing Manager in our Healthcare segment. Motivated by the impact healthcare has on people around the world, Elyse is passionate about supporting the clinicians and medical professionals who provide essential care every day.

Elyse joined STERIS a little over three years ago, and says her days are centered on collaboration and creativity—partnering with teams to plan trade shows, develop campaigns, create content, and build meaningful educational materials. “Marketing is the perfect combination of data-driven results, analytics, numbers, psychology, and lots of artistry. Not only do we need to have an intimate understanding of the industry, but we also need to become storytellers and know how to bring that story to life,” she shared.

When Elyse encounters a challenge, she says the key is to stay positive and persistent, have patience, ask questions, stay curious, and always work toward a solution.

When Elyse isn’t at work, she stays busy with one of her many hobbies. You can find her at a pottery class, on a tennis court, or sewing and crocheting. She’s also a proud cat mom to Eloise. Whether at work or in her personal life, Elyse brings energy, creativity, and a passion for continuous growth to everything she does.

It’s Pride Month, a time to recognize, support, and celebrate the LGBTQ+ community and continue advancing equity and inclusion for all.

At STERIS, we support these efforts through our Affinity Groups, including STERIS PRIDE, which is dedicated to fostering an open and inclusive environment for LGBTQ+ Associates and allies through outreach, education, advocacy and community.

This year, members of the STERIS PRIDE Affinity Group voted on an internal theme: Pride Without Borders—Celebrating Every Identity, Everywhere.

This month, STERIS PRIDE is hosting an event where Associates can learn about the origins of Pride Month and the affinity group.

Meet Jenn, a Paralegal in the Legal department at STERIS who supports our Life Sciences and Applied Sterilization Technologies (AST) segments. Her passion for learning, collaboration, and growth makes a lasting impact every day. A former Marine, Jenn brings the values of integrity, accountability, teamwork, and self-discipline to everything she does.

Jenn joined STERIS four years ago and says what fuels her passion most is the people around her. “Everyone in the Legal department is extremely supportive and enthusiastic about teaching,” she shared.

As a paralegal, Jenn reviews Non-Disclosure Agreements, drafts other agreements, and partners with colleagues across the organization. When challenges arise, she looks for solutions. “There are challenges in all aspects of life. I focus on ways to overcome the problem rather than what created it.”

Jenn says she’s most proud of being able to go back to school with the help of STERIS’s tuition reimbursement program, earning her paralegal certificate. “I was given the opportunity to be promoted within the company with the support from the Legal department and STERIS as a whole.”

Outside of work, Jenn enjoys exercising, taking walks in the park with her dog, tackling home projects, and spending time with her children.

STERIS Associates in Bangi, Malaysia came together to give old, unrecyclable wood pallets new life—transforming them into a sustainable mini garden at their facility. They planted chives, Brazilian spinach, turmeric, curry, and more.

This project highlights a collective effort and a shared commitment to caring for the environment. It’s a garden the team will maintain together and enjoy as it continues to grow.

Meet Spencer, Principal Scientist in our Applied Sterilization Technologies segment. Some people show up to work hoping to make an impact. Spencer does it by tackling challenges head-on.

Spencer joined STERIS three years ago and says his days are a mix of teamwork, problem-solving, and working alongside site operations, quality, and engineering teams to navigate whatever comes their way. He develops and validates mathematical models at STERIS that translate complex radiation physics into actionable insights for sterilization process design, optimization, and regulatory decision making. “There’s a mix of deep technical work and cross-functional collaboration.” Spencer brings a grounded and practical approach to every project he works on. “I believe open communication and early collaboration with stakeholders are key,” he shared.

Spencer is also part of the TechTeam℠ Technical Professionals at STERIS, where he provides technical support and helps connect different groups so they can stay coordinated and move projects forward smoothly. “The TechTeam brings together skilled professionals to solve complex technical problems, share best practices, and help advance STERIS’s technical capabilities in a coordinated way.”

Science isn’t just part of Spencer’s work—it’s something he carries into the rest of his life. He volunteers in elementary schools to spark scientific curiosity and serves on alumni panels to help students find their path. He also enjoys time with his family, joining in Cub Scout activities, and getting together with friends. At home, science is a shared passion: Spencer’s wife is a microbiologist, traveling internationally to help set up testing centers and provide training for enteric diseases.

It’s Earth Day—a day to remind us that small changes can make a big impact. STERIS Associates in Sharon Hill, Pennsylvania found a way to do their part and help keep the planet a little cleaner.

Our Sterility Maintenance bags and covers—made from DuPont’s flexible Tyvek® material—create a lot of scrap during production. Instead of sending that waste to landfills, the Sharon Hill facility partners with DuPont to recycle the untreated scraps. Those scraps are reprocessed into new rolls of the material that can be used to make more bags and covers.

In 2025, this effort kept about 400 pounds of material per week out of landfills and transformed it into something useful again.

Hundreds of STERIS Associates came together to celebrate International Women’s Day (IWD), which occurs on March 8 every year. IWD is a globally recognized day that aims to celebrate women’s achievements and drive gender parity.

STERIS facilities around the world hosted events including webinars, lunch & learn events, and hands-on activities. Some groups partnered with local non-profits to uplift this year’s theme: Give To Gain. Through abundant giving, we build a more connected, compassionate, and equitable world.

Meet Han, Plant Manager in our Applied Sterilization Technologies segment. Some people find their purpose—others are forged by it. For Han, that purpose grew from a deeply personal journey with family members and even his own diagnosis. It’s why he’s so dedicated to his work and those around him.

Han joined STERIS six years ago and says he embraces the unexpected, seeing challenges as a catalyst for innovation rather than as a roadblock. “The key is to be innovative and creative to grow together,” he shared. As a coach and leader, he’s inspired when his team succeeds together, always keeping safety at the forefront.

Outside of work, Han enjoys cycling, padel (a racquet sport that combines the elements of tennis and squash), cooking, holidays, and spending time with loved ones—living life fully and intentionally. That dedication is the same reason he has participated in Alpe d’HuZes six times, cycling to raise money for cancer research. “I have lost loved ones, have seen loved ones fight, and I’ve faced my own battle with cancer as well. I felt a deep need to help contribute to research and to support others going through the same fight.”

Whether he’s cycling for cancer research or fine-tuning processes with his team at work, Han brings strength, unity and perseverance to everything he does.
