We would like to recognize and congratulate Joe Tabor on his 11 years of combined service with Centro. Joe joined the company as a result of our acquisition of Pelican Industrial Equipment Company in Shreveport in 2006. After serving as our branch manager in Shreveport and briefly as our pump division sales manager, Joe left Centro to become a partner in a compressor service company. Four years ago, Centro welcomed Joe back to Centro in the Shreveport branch in customer service and technical support. He specialized in rotating equipment including pumps and mixers along with other flow control products. After a brief period as the branch manager in Mobile AL, Joe accepted the role of Division Sales Manager for the Process Equipment & Sanitary Division. Joe replaced Gary Prescott who as part of his planning for his eventual retirement accepted the inside sales and engineering support role that Joe had been doing previously. Joe recently completed his relocation from the Shreveport area to the Memphis metro area where he is working across the full Centro territory including AR, LA, AL, MS, TN and KY.

Tatiana works in the Birmingham branch and supports our customers across the company with process flow control products and solutions. She has done a great job of learning products and applications that are common in our industry.

JD is celebrating his 15th year as a member of the Centro outside sales team. JD took over a territory that was created in 2003 after Centro bought Green Controls. The incumbent salesperson failed, the next salesperson failed, the next person failed, so by the time JD joined our team we handed him a territory with a lot of potential and a record of failure. Now add to this that JD didn't have a strong flow control background. However he had desire, persistence, and in the face of adversity he had optimism. The most important factor in the success of a business is people. This is a well worn phrase, often put on posters and mounted in lunchrooms of large companies who when the time comes, will lay off people in a heartbeat. What does this have to do with John-David Giddens, pretty much everything. Over 15 years through personal and professional challenges, he did not give up, and by working hard, JD raised himself and our company up. So, when a business says their #1 asset is people, they are right even if they don't know it.

We would like to congratulate Priya Dugyala on her second anniversary at Centro. Priya is our Data Scientist who is focused on key functions in the Infor ERP system, also in linkages between our ERP system and our CRM system, as well as our eCommerce site and functions. Together with Brandon Scordino, our CIO who is also VP of Digital Sales, as well as Megan Ferloni, our COO, Priya is working to optimize the effectiveness of the large investments that the company has made in technology. Her work crosses nearly all of the functional areas of the company including customer service, sales, information technology, purchasing, finance and general management.

We would like to congratulate AC Carter on his 4th anniversary with Centro. AC joined Centro after working in other distribution companies in our markets. He started under Jeff Hoffman our Memphis branch Warehouse Manager. He was great at his job from day 1 and it became clear that AC would be an ideal replacement for Jeff as Warehouse Manager when Jeff retired. The transition of Jeff retiring and AC becoming the warehouse/facilities manager was an outstanding handoff. Recently Jeff decided to rejoin Centro in a part time warehouse role. Today with AC in charge, the team of Jeff and AC are doing a great job of serving our customers.

We would like to recognize Kevin Green on his 2nd anniversary as part of the Centro outside sales team. Kevin joined Centro after holding a number of important sales and leadership roles at both manufacturers and distributors in the flow control industry. He has, and will continue to, leverage his deep product expertise and market knowledge in his role as Territory Manager for South Alabama. Together with the support of our Mobile branch and the Centro division sales managers, Kevin has been delivering excellent service and solutions to our customers.

We would like to recognize and thank Mike Packard for his 19 years at Centro. Mike became our systems administrator for our computer network shortly after we established our first network. Until late in 2002, Centro did not have the company on a modern computer network. Unfortunately for Mike, we implemented the first network on our own with the help of some 3rd party computer and software vendors. There was no company wide architecture and the equipment and software was to say the least rudimentary. At the same time we were growing rapidly and by the time Mike joined us we had acquired and integrated 3 companies and almost doubled in volume and we still did not have a systems plan. The challenge Mike had is often described as building an airplane while you are flying it--there wasn't time to stop everything if we were going to keep reaching our growth goals. Initially Mike was an army of one, later we brought on a managed services provider that as able to help the company modernize and eventually create a network architecture that has kept us organized. Through all of this change Mike had been a steady presence focused on helping the team to avoid the multitude of problems and threats that exist in the digital world today.
