At Sea Cliff Yacht Club, Nelson + Pope helped bring a new permitted bathing beach to life, providing engineering design, sanitary survey analysis, permitting coordination, and construction support. A complex intersection in Farmingdale is taking on a new shape as construction advances for this modern roundabout at the junction of Quaker Meeting House Road/Bethpage Road, Round Swamp Road, and Thomas Powell Boulevard. Designed to improve traffic flow, reduce conflict points, and enhance safety for motorists, pedestrians, and bicyclists, the project will create a more efficient and connected transportation network for the surrounding community.

Nelson + Pope has supported Nassau County throughout the project's evolution, from the initial traffic studies and evaluation of alternatives through design and now construction, helping transform a long-identified transportation challenge into a safer, more effective intersection.

Twenty-five years have passed since September 11, 2001, and the memory of that day remains with us.

Today, we pause to remember the nearly 3,000 lives lost, honor the courage of the first responders and everyday heroes who stepped forward, and recognize the families, survivors, and communities forever changed.

As we mark this solemn anniversary, we reflect not only on the tragedy of that day, but also on the resilience, compassion and unity that emerged in its aftermath.

We will never forget.
