THE CORVETTE IN THE MOVIES 🎬🔥.

Topping the list is “Corvette Summer,” a film whose plot revolves around the classic car and even includes its name in the title. The film stars Mark Hamill a year after his rise to fame with “Star Wars.” It's a '70s classic with a simple plot: a California teenager has his prized Corvette Stingray stolen and spends the summer searching for it. Along the way, he meets a girl (Annie Potts) and ends up in Las Vegas to get his car back.

In “Corvette Summer,” we see one of the most heavily modified Corvettes in history, with a spectacular body, unique paint job, and right-hand drive. The film features live-action scenes and a particularly memorable sequence in which the Corvette goes head-to-head with a Trans Am.

Although it may not have achieved the unprecedented success of “Star Wars,” “Corvette Summer” is a fun film that offers audiences a glimpse into teenage life and what we learn along the way.

BEHIND EVERY GREAT CORVETTE PROJECT... There is always a financial wizard!

THE ROAD TO PERFECTION! Can we save this Corvette?We are working hard at the shop today! 🛠️ We got our hands on this beautiful Corvette and the diagnosis is officially in. The plan? Tear it down, evaluate the damage, and see if we can save the customer some serious cash on this project before sending the entire car straight to paint! 🎨💸
Check out what we are doing to restore this ride today:
Complete front-end teardown: We removed the front bumper to get a precise look at what’s going on underneath the car. 🛠️
Bracket repair: The lower bracket is broken. A brand new one runs about $150, so we are going to try to fix it right here to keep the restoration costs down! 🦾
Headlight restoration: We are going to polish the factory headlights to see if we can rescue that original crystal-clear look for the car. ✨
Temporary fit: We mounted a temporary yellow hood on the car just so we can safely drive it over to the paint shop. 🏎️💨
Fingers crossed those front hinges aren’t bent so we can get this car perfectly aligned! 🤞 This Corvette project is just getting started, and it’s going to turn out amazing.
