There is an opening for our swing shift mill department, 3:00pm-1:30am) and our day shift lathe department, (5:00am-3:30pm). Please see the job summary below.
Summary:
This position is responsible for operating a variety of machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, and other shop peripheral equipment to make precision machined parts, and tools to exact tolerances and dimensions. Interprets blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications. Uses a variety of machinist's hand tools and precision measuring instruments. Makes standard shop computations relating to dimensions of work, tooling, feeds, and speeds. Most machines are numerically controlled. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or Quality System control procedures.
