💫 We’re proud to celebrate Ethan Broten’s 6 years of dedicated service with NWUAV as our Senior Electrical Engineer!

Ethan is one of those rare teammates who combines sharp technical skill with genuine kindness and integrity. He’s always in a good mood with a smile on his face, takes pride in doing the job thoroughly without cutting corners, and is consistently willing to jump in and help whenever needed. Whether it’s providing clear technical guidance under pressure, brainstorming solutions even when his plate is full, or calmly explaining his reasoning in a kind and measured way, Ethan brings steady leadership and clarity to the team.

Apparently, Ethan has become the go-to “Inspector Gadget / MacGyver” of the group—somehow always having exactly the right tool (usually from one of his 23 pockets or his trusty Leatherman) when someone needs it; I didn't know this! Beyond the tools and the technical expertise, Ethan is a great teacher and mentor to engineers of all experience levels, and a positive, stand-up presence that makes the workplace better for everyone.

Outside of work, Ethan is a devoted husband and father who treasures time with his family. He’s also heavily active in his church and a person of strong faith and integrity. And while heights may not be his favorite, he still managed to rappel down a 125-foot wall in Germany—modern-day Indiana Jones style!

Thank you, Ethan, for your curiosity, your calm under pressure, your willingness to stand up for what's right, and the way you lift everyone around you. We’re lucky to have you on the team—and according to your peers, we need more Ethans! Kirk is an outstanding Technical Writer who brings exceptional attention to detail and clarity to everything he does. He excels at crafting precise instructions, procedures, forms, and work/test documentation that keep our operations organized, consistent, and effective. Whether creating helpful computer visuals when a photo or description falls short, proofreading complex documents, or quickly updating materials to reflect product changes, Kirk takes great pride in his work and consistently delivers high-quality results.

Beyond his technical skills, Kirk is a true team player — reliable, proactive, and always willing to help, even when busy. 💫 We’re proud to celebrate Gonzo Zamora’s 12 years of dedicated service with NWUAV as our Inventory Control Manager!

Gonzo began his career with NWUAV as an Inventory Assistant and, through dedication and great attention to detail, worked his way up to leading the department. He is a true joy to work with and brings a consistently positive attitude and strong work ethic to everything he does. He is always willing to step up and support other departments, tackling complex shipping questions and finding solutions with patience and determination. His reliability, kindness, and genuine care for others make him someone everyone feels comfortable approaching for help. He is also a fantastic listener who makes people feel welcome and valued. He is a responsible, hard-working team player and a true friend to many here at NWUAV.

Outside of work, Gonzo is a big soccer fan who enjoys playing whenever he can. He generously volunteered his time to assist Jony with coaching at Dayton last year. He also loves cooking and making good food at home — so much so that if he ever opened a restaurant, we’d all be regular customers! And I personally love to hear him SING! It brings a smile to my face to know he is so happy on the inside that sometimes (even unconsciously) he is willing to share his beautiful voice with us.
