2024 will be the debut of our improved LS7 based "LS-7mm Magnum" cylinder heads featuring 7g lighter intake valves than previous 8mm valves and 13g lighter exhaust valves than previously possible. These heads can accommodate .680 to .800 lift in hydraulic roller form and will be sold with appropriate camshaft technology to turn 8500+ rpm as well.

- Lighter and revised geometry valves allowing safe .800 lift usage
- Geometry setup for roller tipped rocker arms with ARP studs
- 7/16th Trend or Manton pushrod clearance built in
- 7mm Ti intake valves in 2.200 / 2.250 sizes
- 7mm SS exhaust valves in 1.625 / 1.600 sizes
- Extended length 7mm CHE guides utilizing NASCAR technology
- CHE Copper based valve seats for longer valve life and maximum cooling
- PSI and PAC small diameter race valve springs
- USA made proprietary 7mm locks and retainers
- Cooling mods designed for high duty cycle usage
- Matching head gaskets modified for high duty cycle usage

This next week I will be fleshing out a nailed down road race and street engine based on what we have done on Vorshlag Motorsports own shop track car, "Trigger," as it has been very successful to say the least and incorporates a lot of unique firsts for a road race or street mill for us. To only name a few of these differences I would say the most innovative and unique are in order:

- HorsePower Research LS7 architecture cylinder heads from both CIDHeads - Competition Induction Designs and BRODIX Cylinder Heads.

- HPR specific 7mm Titanium intake valves from both Xceldyne Valvetrain and REV along with extended length 7mm custom valve guides made by CHE Precision Inc.

- HPR specific 7mm SS exhaust valves by REV along with extended length 7mm custom valve guides made by CHE Precision Inc.

- 8-Counterweight 4.000 and 4.125 stroke crankshafts from both Callies Performance Products or S**T Crankshafts.

- Pin guided connecting rods allowing multiple hundred gram bob weight reductions for higher rpm and less stress on crankshaft and block main webbing from both Callies Performance Products or S**T Crankshafts.

- Wiseco fully 3D milled race pistons for another 100+ grams in bob weight reduction as well as totally flat ring lands and very low piston rock design.

- Total seal piston rings steel .8mm or .9mm piston ring sets for better ring seal and much lower ring mass for extended high rpm usage and reduced ring flutter.

- Godbold Engineering and COMP Cams camshaft lobe technology for more area and lift and yet also higher rpm valvetrain stability.

- Dailey Engineering and Armstrong Race Engineering Inc - Spintric Technologies dry sump systems.

This is the difference between the guides that are in most LS7 heads vs what we are now using at HorsePower Research currently. This represents the top and bottom of the guide support on the oem vs our new .375 longer guides. These still allow up to .750 lift with our springs and oem length valves.

New HPR / CHE Precision Inc. LS7 valve guides for extreme duty street and road racing and designed for use from .650 up to .800 lift HR.

These are available for OEM LS7, Brodix BR7 / BR7-BS and CID LS7 part numbers. BR7 model guides in stock already and CID and OEM being made currently.

These guides are essentially up to .450 longer than oem and normal LS7 guides with an up to .250 longer bulleted guide nose into the intake port and and extra .200 higher guide top on the valve spring side.

They are engineered for up to .685 valve lift and oem length valves and oem type or BSR rocker arms and still have sufficient retainer to seal clearance while providing substantially more valve support!

On our harder core .700 to .800 lift hydraulic roller LS7 packages we use a different valve and a roller rocker which has the appropriate geometry for the .750+ valve lift and up to 8500 rpm.

Here are some pics of these newer guides on the intake side of a 700 rwhp .675 lift LS7 and you can see the difference in the normal exhaust guides on this head. The exhaust on this engine has lower lift but we also have a matching exhaust guide as well.

Top End Packages featuring Custom Pistons for Custom Heads with Custom Cams!

I am going to start offering ultra high performance LS7 (and also LSx/LTx) pistons.

These pistons will include these improved features:

- Non compromised and much shallower valve relief depths matching and maximizing what the best cylinder heads can deliver.

- Any compression ratio with much better dome profiles to compliment shallower reliefs and match cylinder heads being used.

- Much higher top ring locations on NA pistons maximizing ring seal and minimizing dead crevice volume above top ring.

- Thinner and superior NA specific piston rings from .9mm and down.

- Pro Ring Grooves milled last for the ultimate in ring groove flatness and finish.

- Fully 3D milled undersides for even mass distribution and uniform deck thickness including under valve reliefs.

- Thinner NA rings and higher top lands allow shorter ring stacks and keep skirt position higher on even very short pistons as well.

- Shorter NA ring stacks and lower taper NA specific skirts allow less rock and TDC and especially BDC for much better ring seal.

- Normal or piston guided options for even further mass reduction and reliability as well as many wrist pin sizes and choices.

- Average NA piston mass is under 400g on shorter pistons even with thicker than normal decks for 800+hp due to 3D milling.
