Fun fact: Dan opened No Pressure Services at 62 years old.

Instead of retiring, he saw a need for a hydraulic repair shop serving Southeast Ohio — so he built one.

Today, at 70, Dan and the business are stronger than ever.

No Pressure Services keeps growing, expanding inventory, taking on more work, and helping more customers get their equipment back up and running.

And this? This was just a small load of what came through the shop last week.

Big cylinders, small cylinders, ugly ones, dirty ones — bring them in. We’ll see what we can do.

Sometimes a bigger wrench isn’t the answer. 🔥

This tie rod end on a steering cylinder wasn’t interested in coming apart, so Dan brought out the Bolt Buster induction heater.

It heats the stubborn part quickly and precisely, helping break things loose without putting an open flame where we don’t want one.

Just another tool in the shop — backed by a whole lot of years knowing when to use it.

When your hydraulic repair gets stubborn, we get stubborn too. 😏

For over 30 years, Contraxx Furniture has proudly called McConnelsville home. Today, they operate from a hidden third-floor office right on Main Street, a loft-style workspace that many passersby might not even realize is there.

But when people ask founder Mike Workman where the business truly began, he tells them it started long before the company was even founded. It began with the mentorship, local craftsmanship, and core values he discovered right here with the community in Morgan County.

From learning the ropes at Taylor Woodcraft in the 1970s to making the brave leap to launch his own company when Taylor closed in 1995, Mike’s journey is a beautiful testament to small-town grit, perseverance, and the deep importance of community relationships.

One of the best parts of owning a small business is getting to know the people behind other small businesses.

Today, Amy and Dan stopped by Arnold Family Farms Farm Stand, one of our No Pressure Services customers, and came home with some beautiful, locally grown sweet corn.

The stand is worth the stop all by itself, but that view and the rows of sunflowers make it even better. When you buy directly from a local farm, you are supporting the family who planted it, tended it and picked it for your table.

Then Dan does that little giggle…
