Sometimes, the best pieces appear when you least expect them.

While walking in Monterrey, Mexico, right next to the baseball museum, I came across this Fairbanks Morse bar scale forgotten by time. Through rust, history, and pure mechanics, its identity was still visible: Code 6502, Serial No. 6634H, with a 1500 kg capacity.

What makes it even more impressive is that for its time, it was very advanced. This scale could stamp the weight onto small pieces of paper using a built-in press mechanism on the beam — a practical mechanical solution for recording weights long before the digital era.

A true old-school relic, when accuracy depended on levers, counterweights, and experience — not electricity. Equipment designed to work for decade, and that today tells its own story.
