NJDEP announced the filing of the Inland Flood Protection Rules to take effect in July 2023. The purpose is to better protect areas at risk from devastating impacts during extreme rainfall events in New Jersey.
These changes will raise the Design Flood Elevation (DFE) by two (2) feet in fluvial (non-tidal) flood areas.
