This is exactly what the SERV Initiative is all about—showing up, giving back, and supporting the communities that continue to support us.

🚌 PRO-SERV IS HELPING STUFF THE BUS! 🎒📚

Today, Saturday, August 15, the Pro-Serv Facility Solutions team will be delivering everything we’ve collected to Craven County Partners in Education’s Stuff the Bus event at Staples in New Bern!

The event will be accepting donations from 10:00 AM–2:00 PM, and there’s still time to help.

Every backpack, notebook, pack of pencils, and school supply donated helps make sure a local student walks into the new school year with the tools they need to succeed.

At Pro-Serv, service means more than taking care of equipment and facilities. It means taking care of the communities that take care of us.

We’re proud of our team and everyone who contributed to help us give back to Craven County.

🚨 OUT WITH THE OLD. IN WITH THE NEW. 🚨

Growth isn’t just about adding more trucks.

It’s about making sure the people in those trucks have the right equipment to do the job.

Over the years, our Pro-Serv fleet has put in some serious miles. Those trucks and vans helped us serve thousands of customers, grow into new markets, and build Pro-Serv into what it is today.

But we aren’t building this company based on where we’ve been.

We’re building for where we’re going.

That means retiring some of the older fleet and bringing in new trucks, new vans, and better equipment for our technicians in the field.

More reliability.
Less downtime.
Better equipped technicians.
Better service for our customers.

And this is only part of what’s coming.

We’re continuing to invest in our people, equipment, technology, training, and infrastructure because the next version of Pro-Serv is going to require us to operate at another level.

Your Ice Machine Can Tell You Something Is Wrong — Just Time It.

Here’s one most restaurant owners never think about:

Don’t just check whether your ice machine is making ice. Check how LONG it takes to make it.

An ice machine can still produce ice while quietly losing performance for weeks.

Once a month, grab your phone and time one complete cycle:

⏱️ Freeze Cycle — How long does it take to make a batch?

⏱️ Harvest Cycle — How long does it take for the ice to release?

Then write those times down.

Next month, compare them.

If a machine that normally completes its freeze cycle in roughly 15–20 minutes suddenly takes 25–30, something changed.

It could be dirty condenser coils, scale buildup, restricted water flow, poor airflow, refrigeration issues, or another developing problem.

And here’s the important part:

The machine may still be making ice.

That’s why nobody notices until somebody walks in one morning and the bin is nearly empty.

DON’T JUST ASK:

“Is it making ice?”

ASK:

“Is it making ice like it USED TO?”

🚨 COMING SOON: PRO-SERV RENTAL SOLUTIONS

We’ve spent years getting the call when a restaurant’s equipment goes down.

And sometimes the answer nobody wants to hear is:

“The part is going to take a week.”
“The compressor is shot.”
“That unit needs to be replaced.”

Meanwhile, the restaurant still has customers to serve.

So we decided to build another solution.

🔥 Introducing Pro-Serv Rental Solutions — Commercial Kitchen Equipment Rentals.

The idea is simple:

KEEP THE CUSTOMER OPERATING.

When critical equipment goes down, we want to be able to deliver temporary commercial equipment to help keep that kitchen producing while repairs, parts, replacements, renovations, or insurance claims are being handled.

We’re building a rental fleet that will include equipment such as commercial refrigeration and freezers, cooking equipment, ice machines, portable HVAC, holding equipment, prep equipment and more.

And this won’t only be for emergencies.

We plan to support restaurants, schools, healthcare facilities, hotels, caterers, festivals, temporary kitchens, renovations, disaster recovery and large projects where additional equipment is needed.

WHY ARE WE DOING IT?

Because service shouldn’t stop at:

“We diagnosed the problem.”

We want to be the company that asks:

“Now how do we keep your operation running?”

Repair it. Replace it. Install it. Or rent you something until we can.
