NOW HIRING: TOOLMAKER 🔧
📍 Mauston, WI

Mauston Tool is growing! As we continue expanding our capabilities and serving a larger market in the plastic injection mold building industry, we are looking for an experienced Toolmaker to join our dedicated and progressive team.

In this hands-on role, you’ll work with precision equipment and tooling to build, repair, modify, and maintain plastic injection molds. From new mold builds to repairs and engineering changes, you’ll play an important role in producing high-quality tooling for a variety of industries.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Build, assemble, repair, and modify plastic injection molds
• Perform precision machining and fitting of mold components
• Troubleshoot tooling issues and make necessary repairs
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
• Work with CNC equipment and other precision manufacturing tools
• Inspect completed work to ensure quality and accuracy
• Collaborate with engineers, moldmakers, and other team members to keep projects moving forward
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Previous experience as a Toolmaker, Moldmaker, Machinist, or similar manufacturing position preferred
• Experience with plastic injection molds strongly preferred
• Knowledge of machining, tooling, and manufacturing processes
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems
• Ability to work independently while also being part of a team

If you have experience with CNC machining and take pride in precision work, we’d love to hear from you.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
• 3+ years of machining experience
• Mastercam programming experience
• Ability to set up and run complex, tight-tolerance parts
• Experience with vertical & horizontal mills and mill-turn centers
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

WHAT WE OFFER:
• $30 - $45 per hour (based on experience)
• Full-time position
• Monday - Friday, 10-hour shifts

Mauston Tool is expanding its capabilities and ability to serve a larger market in the plastic injection mold building industry. We’re looking for an experienced Engineer to join our dedicated and progressive team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Engineer is responsible for managing tooling projects for new products from conception through production start. This position is also responsible for all repairs and changes to existing tooling, while staying up to date on new tooling technologies and recommending improvements to tooling capability, efficiency, and cost.

• Attend and contribute to staff and facility meetings
• Train and guide fellow employees as needed
• Quote and schedule jobs while coordinating between mold shop management and customers
• Conduct job meetings for assigned projects
• Communicate regularly with customers
• Assist in mold design and electrode design as required
• Communicate with moldmakers to ensure projects remain on schedule

QUALIFICATIONS – EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Plastics preferred, or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a directly related field

QUALIFICATIONS – SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
• Strong character and sound judgment when addressing challenges and problem-solving
• Demonstrate and promote a culture of continuous improvement
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong teamwork and organizational skills
• Understanding of injection mold design
• Understanding of manufacturing, machining, and toolmaking processes
• Knowledge of injection molds
• Proficiency in SolidWorks and Microsoft Office products
