October Outlook: Progress and Rebuilding at Jennerjahn Machine
Jennerjahn Machine's new two-story office space is a symbol of resilience and growth, offering reassurance to employees, customers, and the community that the company will return stronger than ever following the fire at their Matthews facility last December. The exterior of the office is expected to be completed within a month, marking another major milestone in the recovery process.
Currently, around 25% of Jennerjahn's workforce operates from the Matthews facility, handling tasks such as steel cutting, fabrication, painting, and polyurethane roll covering. The remaining 75% of the team, including administrative, sales and marketing, engineering, parts and service, shipping and receiving, assembly, electrical, and startup technicians, continue to work out of the temporary Marion location until construction is fully finished. Despite the challenges, Jennerjahn has already shipped 16 major machines this year, with plans to ship seven more before year-end.
Reflecting on the progress, Chris Jennerjahn stated, “While the fire was devastating, we turned the tragedy into an opportunity to rebuild stronger. The new facility will be state-of-the-art, featuring brand-new machinery to streamline our operations. Starting fresh allowed us to reorganize our departments for maximum efficiency.”
