The Following are Updates for the 2026 Season:

In response to increased safety regulations and requirements at the State and Federal level:

The 480 Gravel Pit will now be closed to Rock Pickers. This includes individuals and groups picking Kona Dolomite.

Individuals with pickup trucks and dump trailers will now be purchasing materials at Fraco Concrete. They are located on the Southeast side of the property.

DISPOSAL: Disposal Dirt and Concrete will be a $20 Minimum per load.

Good morning! It's looking like we are officially about to welcome spring. Though we are expecting a bit of rain this weekend, the temperatures seem to be slowly warming up over the next couple of weeks. With any luck that will mean conditions at the pit will begin to dry up as well. For all of you that are anxious to get back to work, we will keep you updated on an official season opening for 480. Update 2/13/2024:TEMPORARY LIFTING OF SEASONAL WEIGHT RESTRICTIONSSeasonal weight restrictions will be temporarily lifted until further notice on all roads under the jurisdiction of the Marquette County Road Commission beginning at 7:00 a.m. on Friday, February 16, 2024.
