On Wednesday, April 22nd, 2026, a group of 9 Winsert volunteers spent the afternoon making a difference on Earth Day!

In honor of Earth Day, the team cleaned up garbage along Winsert’s adopted roadway. The team collected 12 bags of garbage along the roadway on Highway 180.

Along with finding some fun and interesting items (rubber ducks, brand new fishing lures, a hubcap, and 4 snakes, etc.), the team was able to enjoy the beautiful weather and spend time with fellow Winsert teammates.

With each piece of garbage picked up and properly disposed of, the team aided in preventing contamination from pollution, protecting Wisconsin wildlife, and restoring the beauty of the natural landscape.

To those participants, thank you for the time and effort spent making a positive impact in our community on Earth Day.

It is our responsibility to protect and preserve our Earth for all living beings and future generations to come. Even the smallest change to your daily routine can make a tremendous impact. From our team to yours, Happy Earth Day!

The Winsert team enjoyed friendly competition during the Winsert Winter Olympics!
Our fun events included, snowball toss, penguin waddle races, trivia, name that tune, hockey, paper plate curling, "snowman" building contest, walking challenge and team color day!
