It’s a sad day here at Manteo Napa. Today the 14th we lost a dear friend and colleague here at our store. It is with great sadness that we report George Whitley has passed. George was a good friend to all of us here and we send prayers to his family during this rough time. If you had the privilege to know him, you know what a hard worker he was and a devoted family man he was. George will be missed greatly at our store. R.I.P. George. 🙏😢

Ron Capps qualified No. 1 and reached the quarterfinals at the inaugural NHRA Nationals at The Rock before losing a close matchup to points leader Matt Hagan. Driving the SKF-branded NAPA Auto Care Funny Car, Capps secured his fourth top-qualifying spot of the season with a 3.870-second pass at 330.40 mph. He earned a first-round bye and picked up six qualifying bonus points, but slowed to a 4.035-second run in the quarterfinals as Hagan chased him down. Despite the early exit, the performance leaves Capps sitting fourth in the championship point standings. He will look to gain ground at the NAPA Auto Parts NHRA Midwest Nationals in St. Louis in five days.
