All the demolition is done and we’re starting the framing in this 5,000sqft. Commercial space in Mansfield. What once was small family hardware store will now become an eyecare center.

Robert Todd Obituary
Robert Lincoln Todd Sr. of Bridgewater died peacefully and surrounded by his loving family on February 20, 2025. Bob was 82.

Visiting hours on March 1, 2025 (Saturday) from 9 until 11 AM in the First Baptist Church, 111 Plymouth Street (corner of Route 18) North Middleboro. A funeral service will follow at 11 AM.

Interment will be private and at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church, 111 Plymouth Street, Middleboro, MA 02346.

Yes it is true. After a quarter of a century serving the people of Mansfield, Hometown Hardware will be closing. I will be working at the new Ace Hardware. The owner of the Ace is a great guy, and I am looking forward to being a part of his team. I will continue to enjoy helping the people of this community with all their hardware needs. On behalf of our Family and staff, we want to say thank you for your support over the years. We have had an incredibly loyal customer base. To celebrate our 20th year, we have changed our name to MANSFIELD HOMETOWN HARDWARE to reflect the community we have loved and served so well. Please join us in celebrating our 20th year as YOUR HOMETOWN HARDWARE" STORE! We'll be remodeling and remerchandising for your future enjoyment. We know that you will find the same customer service you have come to know and love, as well as familiar products along with some new items. We are here to stay, your family owned and operated Independant Hardware Store.

The Todd Family was established in the construction field in 1981, under the name of T n' T Carpentry, Inc. of Bridgewater, MA. Involved in superior home building, remodeling, and repair for eighteen plus years, the Todd family has the knowledge and expertise to assist their patrons in all areas. In 1999, the Todd family ventured out, purchased and opened the Mansfield Hometown Hardware Store currently located at 284 N. Main Street in Mansfield, MA.

Robert Todd, and his sons *Lincoln and Christopher Todd, have worked diligently to establish a thriving hardware store. Meeting the needs of the community, sponsoring Little League teams, supporting the academic interests within the town, providing stability and support to the Downtown Business Association and participating in special events throughout the year, has enabled Mansfield Hometown Hardware to build strong, caring friendships, and maintain professional relationships within Mansfield and the surrounding communities.

Being good at what we do, and having the desire to serve others has helped Mansfield Hometown Hardware to weather the economic storm. We are pleased to be celebrating our 20th year of operation in the town of Mansfield. We are looking forward to serving Mansfield and the surrounding communities for many years to come.
