Do You Remember the Pelican?

Back in 1957, Gorman-Rupp introduced the lightweight portable 2" Pelican self-priming pump — built for crews who needed dependable performance wherever the job took them.

At just 70 lbs. in aluminum construction, the Pelican delivered up to 7,500 GPH while helping tackle dewatering, irrigation, emergency pumping, and utility work.

Over the years, the Pelican name disappeared, but the idea behind it never did. That lightweight, portable pump design continued to evolve through the decades and lives on today in pumps like the 82D-GX160.
