This is for all of our customers (old and new) who plan on fishing with us during the 2026 season.
For the first time in a few years, there has been a small increase in our charter rates. Everything is just getting more expensive, but I think you will find we are still very reasonable (and competitive) for the services we deliver!
2nd, we now acccept all major credit & debit cards for deposits. We decided to do this as an option to make it easier and faster for our customers instead of having to send checks in the mail, which of course we will still accept.
We will also accept credit/debit cards for final payment at time of charter as we want to give our customers more flexibility for payment there also, even though we still prefer cash or check for final payment as it helps to keep our overall charter costs down.
For more details, please see our updated website at seaductioncharter.com
Thank you and we look forward to fishing with all of you next year.

So yes, our fishing season is now officially over as we are up on blocks at the marina and soon to be tarped over. Of course our work is never done, as this fall and next spring is time to add new electronics on the fly bridge along with remote screens down below so that our customers can watch along with us.That should be entertaining! LOL Of course, the main reason for doing this is to help us react faster to the fish below and around us and hopefully catch more of them.
That's the plan anyway and we'll see how it works out. Other projects are also in the works. Stay tuned for updates!
Always need to try and get better at what we do. The challenge to try and catch more fish for our customers is what makes this so much fun!

Just a quick video on what it's like being on the boat early in the morning heading out of the Manitowoc harbor to do a little fishing. Today was just me and my two 1st mates, Hutch and Tim having a little fun. Never saw another boat out on the lake all morning, probably because the fishing has been pretty slow out by us out on the open water, but in spite of that we did manage to catch a decent mix of king salmon, coho salmon and rainbow trout. Nice way to end the year!
FYI, we are now booking charters for 2026, so if you'd like to join in on the fun, give us a call.

End result of Saturday mornings' charter. Considering how deep we had to fish because of the very warm water, then throw in the strong current, plus how rough the weather was; we were only able to run 6 rods. Yet in spite of all the adverse conditions, the boys did a great job bringing the fish to the boat, including a little one that was hooked too deep to throw back.
Thanks guys and we look forward to seeing you next year.

Small correction: two of our customers were US Navy, one Air Force and one civilian. Had a great time catching fish and the roller coaster ride out on the big pond was just a bonus! See you guys next year.

These three gentlemen drove down from northern Minnesota this past weekend to fish with us Saturday afternoon/evening and Sunday morning. Very warm water along with sunny/smokey skies and flat seas made it a little challenging at times to keep the fish hooked up, however we managed to get a number of fish into the boat for them to take back home and enjoy on the grill. Thanks guys and hope to see you again next year.

One of the nice salmon caught on board yesterday while taking a group of veterans out for a morning of fishing. It was pretty slow as the water is still very warm but we still had a lot of fun! Thanks guys for your service to our great country and hope to see you again next year.
Side note, the cold water is moving in and hopefully more fish will follow soon. Captain Steve and 1st Mate Hutch

Very warm water is still here making for a tough bite yesterday. Still managed to get some nice fish, also threw back some small ones and missed a couple others. Had a great couple with us from Tomah which made for a very enjoyable trip in spite of the fishing. Can't wait to take you out again next year! Better days are ahead!

There is nothing that "we" as charter captains dislike doing more, is cancelling a charter (due to weather) that our customers are really looking forward to going on. To make it even worse, many times we have to wait until the last minute to do that because weather forecasts change so fast these days, especially out on the Great Lakes!
Believe me when I say: there is nothing more humbling/embarrassing and frustrating, when we try to be proactive and cancel a trip a day or two before the scheduled charter to save people from traveling, hotels, etc. and then... the lake is calm enough to fish! It happens... way to often!
But at the end of the day, the bottom line is this: as much as we want to go out on the lake and show everyone a great time catching big salmon & trout; sometimes, the weather just won't allow us to do that and this weekend is a perfect example, as we had to cancel our morning and afternoon charters.
Safety always has to come first for our customers, no matter how bad everyone wants to go fishing! There's always another day to enjoy out on the big lake!
May you all have a great Saturday (on shore)...😁
