Sierra Consulting Group, INC. is proud to announce Paul DeMatteis as the new Executive Vice President at Sierra Consulting Group, Inc.

Joseph Caracappa, Our Company President made the announcement on September, 27th. DeMatteis Brings 20+ Years of Project Management, Modernization and Maintenance Specification Experience in the elevator and escalator industry to the company.

DeMatteis has been with the company since its inception in 2004, and he is responsible for all day-to-day operations. He has a proven track record of leadership within project management, and he streamlines all new technological pursuits in the company. DeMatteis holds a knowledge base that is invaluable, his duties include the preparation and supervision of all bid documents, project specifications, all phases of elevator and escalator modernization, maintenance specifications and maintenance contracts. His extensive expertise is extremely essential and valuable to the company’s clients.

“Not only has Paul been involved with Sierra since inception, but he and I have worked together since 2002. His work ethic, dedication and commitment to the elevator industry has given him the well-deserved respect from clients, vendors, colleagues, and co-workers. DeMatteis is a native of Queens, NY. He is a Graduate of Binghamton University, is married and currently resides in East Norwich, NY.

The NYC Department of Buildings has not yet officially passed these changes as of September 2021. Our clients are the top priorty and we will continue to keep them updated on all new developments.

We just received notice that the New York City Department of Buildings will be implementing the filing of Category 1/5 ELV3 and AOC forms through their DOBNOW Safety Online Program. While we do not have all of the information at this time, we encourage all involved parties to register on DOBNOW, if not already registered. It is our understanding that effective September 1, 2018 the DOB will no longer accept paper filings of the forms. There will be an online database where the inspection results will be entered and approved by the performing inspector, director, witness, and agent/owner. In addition, the filing fees will be submitted online as well.

Representatives from our company will be attending the first offered seminar on Thursday, September 6th to learn the new process and procedures. We also encourage you or your compliance employee(s) to do the same.
