When a storm is in the Gulf, it’s worth checking the equipment you may depend on once cleanup begins.
Before the weather moves in:
Check your battery. Fully charge it, clean and tighten the connections, and make sure it can hold up under load—not just show a good resting voltage.
Have a charging plan. If outlet power is unavailable, the RoaDCharger can recharge your trailer battery while you drive, with up to 25 amps of charging output. Solar can also help maintain a battery between uses.
Run your hydraulic system. Make sure the trailer raises and lowers smoothly. Check fluid level, hoses, fittings and cylinders for leaks or damage.
Give the entire trailer a once-over. Check grease points, tires, brakes, lights and wiring.
And if something needs to be replaced, order it early. Storms can quickly disrupt shipping and deliveries.
