Little plasma action from the other day

Quick little welding job. Nasty old cast aluminum isn’t easy to weld. Also had to machine the top mating surface on the mill so it will sit flush like it’s supposed to when installed. It’s not super pretty but this part was almost headed to the scrap bin and I gave it a second chance at life.

Did some work to make this trailer a little more custom, built a diesel transfer tank, storage compartment, rake shovel rack and fork pockets to store his quick detach skid steer forks. I also had to reverse engineer a little bracket that got bent. All removable parts were powdercoated with a Zinc rich primer then gloss black.

Just playing around with the cricut cutter and trying to come up with a cool logo. Here is some iron on vinyl on a coozie, What do y’all think?

I didn’t take many pictures of the build. And it took me a little longer than anticipated to make sure it all stayed square when welded. But here it is, a rolling rack for my powdercoating oven so I can roll larger parts in and out of the oven. Also you can place different shelf configurations on it depending on what parts I am doing.

Couple new items to add to my shop came in today. A new knurling tool for my lathe and a new powdercoating gun from Kool koat! Should add to the possibilities in my shop greatly!

Here is the construction of my powdercoating oven I built earlier this year. Comes up to temp fast and works great. To bad it sucks about 12,000 watts!!
