Mass timber offers a compelling alternative to steel and concrete, combining natural beauty with significantly lower embodied carbon. But integrating MEP systems into these structures requires careful planning from the outset.

In a recent article for Construction Specifier, ’s Robin Graves, Jessica Mangler, and Brett McQuillan explore key considerations for integrating MEP design and coordination in mass timber buildings, including panel modifications, sound attenuation, moisture control, aesthetics, and energy efficiency.

Discover how effective MEP design and coordination can optimize building performance while also preserving the architectural vision of mass timber projects. https://bit.ly/43zwqro

Engineers Without Borders USA(EWB) University of Wisconsin-Madison Chapter hosted its annual fundraising banquet, showcasing student-led volunteer projects that bring critical infrastructure to communities in Peru, Rwanda, Uganda, and Puerto Rico. As a long-time sponsor, was proud to host a table and celebrate these 100+ future engineering leaders.

Our dedicated mentors, Amanda Pustis, Anokhi Sangamnerkar, Dan Williams, and Alberto Cordero, meet with students weekly to provide technical oversight, consulting, and project guidance. We are proud to partner with EWB, where together we can design water systems, schools, and solar microgrids to improve the world.
