It’s New Machine Day at TRU Ball/AXCEL Archery and S&S Machine, Inc. This time, it’s a Haas VF 2-SS Super Speed CNC Machining Center with 5-AXIS capabilities! We’ll use it for rapid prototyping of our archery equipment, but will also use it for prototyping and contract manufacturing for our nuclear, food manufacturing, medical, and defense industry customers to do intricate machining of high precision parts! We are expert machinists who know how to hold the tightest of tolerances and this is just another example of how we make archery better and we machine quality for customers around the world!

Our machine shop is 40 years old and we've been manufacturing archery equipment for 30 years. But we are full of new ideas and energy.

We are currently hiring for Machinists on a flexible eight hour 1st Shift (6AM to 5PM) and there are plenty of possibilities for Overtime. Trade School or equivalent machining experience in operating Haas or similar milling machines is preferred, but we are well-known for training people to be better. We work with Fusion, FeatureCam, and MasterCam, so knowledge of any of these CAM packages is a huge advantage . A major plus is that we work on different jobs each day which will expand your abilities and keep you interested in coming back to work. We are also working every day to make our shop a safe, positive, and job-focused work environment where people have opportunities to be their best. We decided 40 years ago to be a QUALITY machine shop! Last week, we were asked by a customer if we have a CMM (Coordinated Measuring Machine) in our inspection room. We have an incredible portable KEYENCE Handheld CMM with indication error accuracy to ±(7 + 9L/1000) μm that can map out dimensions 3.9 feet high to 6.6 feet wide! We have used it to verify accuracy on parts that are used in nuclear reactors, medical and food grade equipment, Olympic gold medal winning archery equipment, and countless other applications where quality is critical!
