Ten years ago, Dulce Rodrigues walked into GBS Hardware with a simple, personal mission: she wanted to be independent. She didn’t want to wait for someone else to fix a leaky faucet or a creaking door. She wanted the tools, the knowledge, and the grit to handle life’s repairs on her own terms.

She started among the soil and seedlings of the Garden Department. From there, she moved to Housewares, mastering the home one aisle at a time. But as Dulce worked her way up to Assistant Manager, something shifted. Her passion for "knowing how" evolved into a passion for "showing how."

For Dulce, GBS Hardware isn't just a warehouse of steel and timber—it’s a community hub. In a world of automated checkouts and faceless retail, Dulce knows her customers by name. She’s heard the stories of summer vacations and shared the joy of holiday traditions. To her, a customer isn't just looking for a 5/8-inch bolt; they are trying to finish a cradle for a newborn or fix a porch in time for a family reunion.
