Take a look at this 5,400-cow freestall dairy in Texas.
This system brings together vac-cleaned alleys, flume transport, and a two-pit design to handle sand-laden manure in a more efficient, streamlined way.
One of the biggest advantages is how it recovers and reuses sand for bedding while also helping reduce wear on equipment. At the same time, organic material is directed toward a digester to support renewable energy production.
It’s a great example of how thoughtful system design can improve day-to-day operations while getting more value out of existing resources.
Always interesting to see these systems up and running in real-world conditions.
