We are deeply saddened to share that our friend and colleague, Mark Dalton, passed away on August 5, 2025.

Although Mark had only recently joined us at Lynchburg Machining, many of us had the privilege of working alongside him for years during his time at Brown’s Machine. His dedication, kindness, and genuine care for his customers left a lasting impact — not only on our team, but on so many of you who had the opportunity to work with him.

Mark was more than just a coworker — he was a true friend to many. He will be greatly missed. Please keep his family and friends in your thoughts and prayers.

Exciting day at the shop: we’ve just taken delivery of our new Doosan Lynx 2100L CNC lathe.

This machine is part of a larger expansion we’ve been working on to support growing demand and broaden what we can offer. The Lynx 2100L brings the precision, speed, and expanded turning capacity we need to stay ahead. Doosan lathes have earned a reputation across the industry for their reliability and performance — exactly the kind of capability we want on our floor as the complexity of our work continues to grow.

It’s hard to believe it’s been nearly a decade since Lynchburg Machining began with just one small mill. From those humble beginnings to where we are now, this journey wouldn’t have been possible without the dedication, hard work, and passion of our incredible team. 🚨 Big News from Lynchburg Machining! 🚨

We’re excited to share that Lynchburg Machining is growing! We’ve acquired a second facility just 20 minutes south of our main plant, along with additional equipment from a company that recently closed its doors.

Our main facility will continue full operations — this new location simply gives us the extra space and capacity we need to keep up with growing demand and better serve our customers. Seeking a qualified CNC Lathe Machinist

Lynchburg Machining, LLC is a precision machining company specializing in quick turnaround and low quantity work in industries such as Aerospace, Nuclear, Defense, etc. with a focus on quality parts delivered on time.

***We are seeking qualified and experienced personnel to join our growing team. ***

This is a day shift position and a minimum of 2 years of experience is required for consideration. Preference for Proto Trak and HAAS experience, but all experience is considered. Work scheduled is Monday through Friday with weekend work on a voluntary basis.

Essential duties and responsibility:

• Candidate must understand and be able to apply general machining practices
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, CAD models and work instructions
• Ability to work in a fast paced, quick turnaround environment
• Ability to use calipers, micrometers, indicators and other common measuring instruments
• Ability to perform in-process inspections for accuracy and deliver quality finished parts to Lynchburg Machining standards with tolerances as tight as .0005”
• Ability to work in a safe and efficient manner
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to lift 40 pounds, also includes ability to push, pull, bend, twist and stoop
•Ability to stand on concrete floors.
