Construction of braced underpins, up to 19 feet tall, was recently completed in Brooklyn, NY. HBE designed the concrete underpinning to support an existing building. Hollow bar tieback anchors were grouted in place to resist the lateral soil force on the underpins. HBE performed the Special Inspections during construction and testing.
