Duct leakage can waste 20 to 30 percent of your HVAC system's output before it ever reaches the occupied space. 💨

That means up to a third of what you are paying to condition is going straight into an attic, crawlspace, or ceiling plenum. The rooms your tenants are actually in get less than they should. The system works harder to compensate. Energy bills go up. Equipment wears faster.

A duct leakage test finds exactly where it is happening. Once we know, we seal it. Simple measurement, real impact on monthly energy costs.

This is also why current energy codes require duct leakage testing on commercial buildings. It is not an upgrade. It is baseline compliance.

Most building energy waste is not a broken system. It is an unbalanced one. 💡

A system that runs but was never properly balanced wastes energy every single day it operates. The equipment is working. The bills just do not reflect what you expected.

Proper TAB and commissioning align comfort and efficiency together. Not one at the expense of the other.

If you're already in the middle of one, testing and balancing can still find what went wrong.

It's always better to get it right the first time.

Testing and balancing. It gets cut from budgets, pushed to the last week, or skipped entirely because the system appears to be working. 🔧

Appears to be working is not the same as verified to perform.

Without TAB, there is no documentation that airflow matches design, that zones are receiving what they were specified to receive, or that the system will hold up under real occupancy loads. The building looks done. It just was not proven.

When the owner moves in and comfort complaints start, the GC is gone and the mechanical contractor has moved on. The cost of fixing an unbalanced system after occupancy is always higher than the cost of testing it before handover.

TAB is not the last thing on the list. It is the thing that proves everything else on the list was done right.
