Spring has SPRUNG!! Looks like we're definitely past the last frost stage! We have 3 kinds of planting mediums - Black Velvet (potting soil mixed with Black Kow), Baccto Premium potting soil and Black Kow. We also have 2 kinds of tomatoes in - Beef Steak and Better Boy! We have a few flowers from the FFA fundraiser like Petunias and Marigolds! More to come in both vegetable and flower variety soon!! Please let us know if there is something specific you're looking for, and we will do our best to get it!

Ok friends! I want to clarify something - while I love visiting with all of you, for a few minutes, or over lunch or whatever the case is.... Please don't forget to leave your water dripping at a good rate tonight! I don't want you to HAVE to come see me for busted water pipes tomorrow after it warms up! Heat lamp bulbs are limited, if you need a new one too!
We have had a bout or two of cold weather already, but after tomorrow night, we will have a week worth of cold nights coming our way - and preparation beats repairs ANY DAY!!

Please donate or share, SSAL needs help to continue helping the communities around them! The SNUG program alone has been able to fix multiple animals here in Stewart County for donations only! Many of you bring your donations of gently used household or clothing items that can be resold at the Thrift Shop or items that the shelter can use like food, blankets and towels to the store here.

We are about to have a true cold snap! 36 to 25 to 29 degrees starting Sunday pm, so make sure to come by if you need plastic for windows or a makeshift greenhouse or pipe insulation etc! Stay warm!!

Help us make it a Happy Anniversary ! We have some of our favorite cookies from Cookie Cottage to share, bring your own milk! We are so thankful for the best years so far, with so many more to come! We are open 8-2pm Saturdays and 10-2 most Sundays until January!

Hi all! We have been getting quite a bit busier this time of year, and to remind everyone that we're open on Sundays until January, we will also have Chris here sharpening knives and repairing blades on the spot! We have all of your plot seed mixes and fertilizers, protein and corn mixes along with metal barrels for storage here as well! We may even have a feeder or 2 left if needed! If we don't have what you're looking for, just let Kellie know to get it ordered for you!
