Many UHDI assemblies are assembled with a two-step process. The first step is to apply flux to direct die or wafer level bumped components. The second step is to print solder paste around those areas that have flux already deposited. The ability to create relief pockets in the underside of these very thin foils is challenging with current step technologies.

BlueRing will be introducing a new step technology with the ability to create micron depth relief pockets with greater accuracy than any other process currently available.
