🌟 Employee Spotlight: Jason Hite 🌟
We are proud to recognize Jason Hite, a valued member of the Agricola Hardware family and a longtime resident of George County. Jason's friendly personality, wealth of experience, and genuine care for others make him a pleasure to work with and an important part of our team.
Jason graduated from George County High School in 1992 and went on to attend welding school in 1993. After completing his training, he spent the next two and a half years working as a welder, learning valuable skills and developing the strong work ethic that continues to serve him today. After his adventure in the welding industry, Jason decided it was time for a new challenge and ventured into the retail world. Over the next 30 years, he built an impressive career, working for a variety of companies and gaining extensive retail experience along the way. Those decades of experience have helped shape him into the knowledgeable, dependable, and customer-focused team member we know today.
Family has always been one of the most important parts of Jason's life. He is the son of Brenda King, who raised him alongside four siblings. Jason cherishes the close relationships he shares with his family and especially enjoys spending time with his nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Nothing makes him happier than seeing his family grow and succeed.
Jason is a faithful member of Lucedale Church of God, where his faith plays an important role in his daily life. His commitment to God, family, and community shines through in the way he treats others with kindness, respect, and a genuine heart for serving people.
Outside of work, Jason enjoys a variety of hobbies including reading, bowling, and golfing. However, his favorite pastime is putting together jigsaw puzzles, and the bigger and more challenging the puzzle, the better. He enjoys the patience, focus, and sense of accomplishment that comes from fitting thousands of pieces together to create something complete.
Jason is also a fan of good food and appreciates a great meal with family and friends. His favorite is a perfectly cooked steak from Texas Roadhouse, a meal he never turns down when given the opportunity.
While many people count down the days until summer, Jason eagerly looks forward to winter each year. The Christmas season is his favorite time of year, and the joy, warmth, and spirit that come with it hold a special place in his heart. He loves the traditions, the fellowship of family and friends, and the reminder of what the season is truly about. For Jason, Christmas is more than a holiday; it is a season filled with hope, gratitude, and happiness that he looks forward to all year long.
When asked what he enjoys most about working at Agricola Hardware, Jason's answer is simple and heartfelt: the people. He genuinely enjoys seeing the customers who walk through our doors each day and values the relationships he has built over the years. He also appreciates the team he works alongside, noting that the friendships, teamwork, and daily interactions with his coworkers are what make coming to work enjoyable. For Jason, it's not just about the job; it's about being part of a group of people who work together, support one another, and serve the community.
Jason's years of experience, positive attitude, and dedication have made a lasting impact on everyone around him. His friendly smile, willingness to help others, and commitment to excellent customer service embody the values that make Agricola Hardware such a special place.
