The first day of the 2026 TCEQ Environmental Trade Fair & Conference in San Antonio has been a success for our team! For over 30 years, TCEQ has proudly offered professional development and training. Over 100 courses and discussions are being offered including air and water permitting, oil and gas, industrial and solid waste management, compliance and enforcement, and remediation programs.

The Troubadour student housing project located near the Texas Tech campus is making progress. The 320,000 square foot student housing development has just two levels remaining to be constructed. We can’t wait to see this finished product!

Construction continues to advance at the Midland County Detention Center. Crews are progressing with interior work, including wall installation, painting, and electrical and mechanical systems. Structural work remains active in other sections, alongside ongoing plumbing and HVAC installation. Across the site, utility work is nearing completion, and concrete paving is moving forward as areas become ready.

We congratulate White Construction on being nominated as “Site of the Quarter” by our Construction Services Division in recognition of excellence in stormwater compliance. Your team’s commitment to environmental stewardship, strong field practices, and consistent attention to regulatory requirements sets a high standard across all project sites.
