Fifteen years in business as R2M Engineering, and even the dogs showed up for picture day.

We had to join in the first day of school fun since Colleen Hall is starting her 25th year at R2M! Owners David Moreno and Roger Reyna are kicking off years 19 and 24 while Ryon, Lindsey, and Andy are rocking year 2.

Jason Brewer brought his dog Smalls along for the photo shoot, who also happens to be Colleen’s granddog, so the R2M family tree runs deep. Andy Craig kept it on brand, with a first day of school photo taken on a job site, Maverick included.

Two years or twenty-five, one thing hasn’t changed: this team shows up, brings their best, and yes, sometimes that includes pets. Swipe through to meet the whole crew, two legged and four legged.

This course certifies your in-house trainer to teach and evaluate forklift operators on-site, so you're not scheduling outside training every time you bring on a new operator. One class pays for itself the first time you use it.

As R2M Engineering approaches its 15th anniversary this September, we're reflecting on how it all began.

Earlier this month, co-founder David Moreno returned to Texas Tech University to speak with this one of this year's Tex PREP cohorts, the very program that first introduced him to the STEM field as a high school sophomore in a small Texas town.

From TexPREP to a Texas Department of Transportation conditional grant, a BS in Civil Engineering from TTU, five years with TxDOT's Lubbock district, and ultimately founding R2M alongside two former TxDOT colleagues, David's path reflects the kind of opportunity TexPREP creates for students across Texas and the foundation R2M has been built on for 15 years.

The groundwork for a successful project starts well before construction.

These photos, taken about a year apart, capture different stages of the future Alliance Credit Union branch on Soncy Road in Amarillo. Last summer, our team was on-site surveying and preparing the property for development. Last week, we returned to support ongoing construction and see the progress firsthand.

It's rewarding to watch a project evolve from an empty site into a building that is steadily taking shape. We're grateful to work alongside BGR Architects and Teinert Construction to help bring this project to life and look forward to seeing it completed.

Think Arc Flash training is only for electricians? Think again.

NFPA 70E Electrical Safe Practices training is designed for anyone who works with or around energized electrical equipment (>50V), not just licensed electricians.

This includes:
⚡ Maintenance personnel
⚡ Construction workers
⚡ Technicians
⚡ Operators
⚡ Supervisors and managers overseeing the work
⚡ Safety and facility personnel responsible for compliance and audits

One common misconception is that only high-voltage systems present serious arc flash hazards. In reality, many arc flash incidents occur on lower-voltage systems, where high fault currents can create significant hazards.

OSHA requires employees exposed to electrical hazards to be trained to recognize those hazards and use proper safety practices and protective equipment. The standard also requires retraining at least every three years.

More than 2,000 workers are sent to burn centers each year with electrical-related burns. Proper training helps employees identify risks before an incident occurs.
