When a factory line goes down, every minute matters.
And in Loxley, Jake Koonce is the one racing the clock.
As a material handler, Jake helps get critical aftermarket orders out the door and to customers who need them yesterday.
And “fast” suits him just fine.
Jake is quiet, focused and, by his own admission, rarely stands still. That work ethic comes in part from his grandfather, and Jake and the crew put it to good use, handling anywhere from 50 to 100 orders a day.
They’ve even made a competition out of it—the team is always trying to beat its own shipping records, pushing each other to move faster while jumping in whenever someone needs a hand.
But don’t let that competitive streak fool you. Underneath the drive is a family man, through and through.
In fact, Jake originally moved from Georgia to Alabama for his crew. He wanted to be closer to them—and to be there to watch his young niece grow up.
That same loyalty is part of what he appreciates about our team.
“We’re obviously growing, but it still feels like a small company where everyone's in it together.”
Maybe Jake isn’t one for long speeches.
But when something needs to get where it’s going, he’s already moving.
Meet Jake Koonce, our 9th Big Dog of the summer—and one of the people making sure our customers get what they need when every minute counts!
