Feeding round bales this winter? Here's the simplest setup. 🐄

John Deere's own livestock guide puts it plainly: "If you're in the livestock business, then you're in the livestock feeding business. That means handling and moving round hay bales. And the most fundamental way to do that is with a Front Bale Spear."

Got more than one bale to move? Deere's guide says a 3-point bale spear on the back is "right on the heels" of the front one, because "being able to load up both the front and the rear of your tractor saves time, which saves money."

New from John Deere at Equip Expo 2026: spray AND spread from one stand-on. 👀

The new SS36M and SS52M Sprayer-Spreaders combine liquid spraying and granular spreading capabilities in a stand-on, zero-turn design. The narrow SS36M helps crews access tighter areas, while the larger SS52M provides additional capacity for covering larger properties. Both models offer additional attachments to configure the machine for different applications.

Deere also debuted the A30M Aerator: a 30-inch aerating width, automatic depth control, and an optional drop seed box that lets operators overseed while aerating, helping crews complete two turf health services in a single pass.

Each machine includes a JDLink modem as standard.
