Thank you ABC7 for the coverage and telling Jack’s story so well. This is an important topic of discussion. Let us know your thoughts!

A company is designing new protective gear for deputy K-9 units. The hope is to keep them safe from gunfire in dangerous situations.

Jack's name and end of watch are etched into each vest. He was shot and killed by a barricaded suspect in Gardena. His legacy of service and sacrifice is now carried on the shoulders of each K-9 officer that wears the protective gear going forward. ❤️🐾 https://abc7.la/4plpAOQ

📌 SAVE THIS FOR LATER — and DM us with any questions about your XPV Vest.

Most operators don’t know about THIS XPV feature 👀

In this episode of The Breakdown with Brent, we’re showing you how to convert your XPV outer carrier into a concealable carrier — in just a few quick steps.

No extra gear. No downtime. Just one vest that scales with your mission.

If you’re on patrol or need to go low-profile fast, the XPV Class A conversion gives you versatility without compromise — because real-world operators don’t have time to switch out kits.

Stay tuned for more Breakdown episodes — and make sure you’re running your gear to its full potential.

XPV Breakdown: Part 3

We’ve saved the best for last. Brent reveals one of the coolest features of the XPV — the ability to go concealable, fast.

In this edition, he breaks down how the XPV is built to hold different plates, including rifle-rated plates in various sizes. Inside the vest, you’ll find inner plate pockets designed for scalability, giving you options to adapt your protection level depending on the mission.

This flexibility means you can scale from patrol-ready to concealable without losing coverage, and your XPV keeps working for you as your needs evolve.

👉 Bottom line: The XPV is a smart choice for patrol officers looking for scalability, longevity, and sizing options that last for years.

In this Breakdown with Brent, we dig into the XPV’s 4-panel design — a game-changer for officers on the street. Unlike traditional patrol vests, the XPV adapts with you. Lose weight, gain weight, change over time — you’re still fully covered where it matters most. No exposed sides. No weak spots. Just consistent, mission-ready protection.

Brent also breaks down how the XPV was built to look like a patrol shirt — with front pockets, name patch and badge placement — making it the perfect outside-the-uniform solution that keeps you looking sharp and operating smarter.

But that’s just the start. There are features in this vest most officers don’t even know about… yet.

👉 Stay tuned for Part 2 of the XPV Breakdown where Brent continues to pull back the curtain on why this vest is changing the game.

Your cummerbund just got an upgrade!

INTRODUCING THE 3PC-HA: The P7 3PC-HA Hard Armor Cummerbund features two hard armor plate pockets to further increase ballistic protection with the addition of rifle-rated plates. The cummerbund uses the same 3-piece design as our 3PC Soft Ballistic Cummerbund and 3PC-UL Ultralight Cummerbund, allowing for the field-replacement of the elastic to keep it secure. Scale up to 3PC-HA! 💪

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: PROJECT 7 Announces Feline Armor System

In response to urgent requests from an elite tactical team in the United States, PROJECT7 today announces the launch of P7-FELINE.

This novel armor system is an extension of the P7K9 line of armor for Tactical K9s. The new P7-FELINE armor system will carry hard armor plates, soft armor protection for the cat's legs and arms (or are they all legs?) and will feature pouches and attachments to carry camera systems, flashbangs, extra magazines, catnip or dog treats. Total weight for the system with all options is only 18 lbs. which is a new world record for feline armor systems.

Speaking about the innovative new product CEO Jon Becker said, “We have been hounded (sorry bad choice of words there) for years by one the top teams in LA County to make a feline vest. We recognize that making only dog armor and people armor has been uninclusive to the teams who deploy Tactical Kittens and we are glad to finally serve this VERY specialized market. We recognize that this system may only be used by one cat in the world (or maybe no one), and that this system may need another 20 years of development (mostly spent on putting the cat on TRT and getting him to the gym), but only a FOOL would pass up such an opportunity. Also, since it is April 1st, we felt it was important to get this announcement out today!”

Happy April Fool's Day!

It would also be foolish to not check out our armor for human and K9 officers at project7armor.com.
