Tight gap for MIG

I’ve got a few of these jumbo chains to weld. Didn’t anticipate the gap to be so tight. Could go down the route of adding a wedge/bolting them together with hidden fixings. But thought I’d ask advice from the welding hive mind.

I’ve not touched MMA since I was a college so might need to have a few refreshers.
