Duties will range from daily job site deliveries, loading and unloading materials/supplies, storing and maintaining warehouse organization, yard clean-up and other duties as assigned. Class A CDL a plus but not required, pay range of $20-25/hr depending on experience. Hours M-F 7am - 3:30pm

Bay Mechanical & Electrical has an opening for a lead Sheet Metal Installer, experienced in Commercial/Industrial Applications. Duties include but aren't limited to:

- Reading and interpreting blueprints, sketches or product specifications to determine sequences and methods of fabricating, assembling, and installing sheet metal products.
- Selecting gauge and type of sheet metal, such as galvanized iron, copper, steel, or aluminum, or non-metallic material such as fiberglass or plastic, according to the product specifications.
- Laying out and marking dimensions and reference lines on material to develop and trace patterns of product or parts, or using templates.
- Setting up and operating fabricating machines, such as shears, brakes, presses, forming rolls, and routers, to cut, bend, block and form, or straighten materials.
- Shaping metal materials over anvil, blocks, or other forms.
- Trimming, filing, grinding, buffing, and smoothing surfaces.
- Welding, soldering, bolting, riveting, screwing, clipping, caulking, or bonding component parts to assemble products.
- Installing assemblies in supportive framework, according to blueprints.
- Inspecting assemblies and installation for conformance to specifications. Repairing and maintaining sheet metal products.
- Operating laser beam cutter or plasma arc cutter to cut patterns from sheet metal.

Bay Mechanical & Electrical Corporation (EDGE & WBE Certified Contractor) has an opening for a Sheet Metal Shop Supervisor/Fabricator. The job duties will consist of, but not be limited to the following:

- Selecting gauge and type of sheet metal according to the product specifications
- Laying out and marking dimensions and reference lines on material to develop and trace patterns of products or parts, or using templates
- Setting up and operating fabricating machines, such as shears, brakes, presses, forming rolls, and routers to cut, bend, block and form, or straighten materials
- Shaping metal materials over anvil, blocks, or other forms
- Trimming, filing, grinding, biffing, and smoothing surfaces
- Welding, soldering, bolting, riveting, screwing, clipping, caulking, or bonding component parts to assemble products
- Operating a computerized Iowa Precision Coil Line
- Operating a computerized Vicon Plasma Table

All applicants must have a minimum 10 years’ experience in sheet metal fabrication and hold a high school diploma or GED equivalent.

We will offer the qualified candidate a competitive wage range of $32-$36/hour (dependent on experience), group medical insurance including Dental & Vision, LTD, Life, paid time off, and 401(k). The candidate must be able to pass a drug screen, physical and background check.
