Quick job at the house today. Except for the loader bucket, I use the box blade more than any other attachment on my tractor. I also need to move trailers around the farm semi-frequently. It's a pain to drop the box blade and put the trailer mover on. We'll see how this works. After I got done, I thought I should have cut the receiver at an angle to match the brace that I welded it to. Who knows, I may cut it off and do just that.

If you're considering buying one of these 5x8 Carry-on trailers from Lowe's Home Improvement, please call whoever you plan on calling when it needs to be torn apart and fixed and ask them what their labor rate is. Then start saving for that repair job. After taking on this project for free for my nephew, my labor rate for these jobs just doubled. If he were paying for this repair, it would have been cheaper for him to just have me build him a trailer from scratch.

Farmers are some of the hardest working people I know. I also know they're incredibly hard on equipment sometimes. We'll get started first thing in the morning straightening and reinforcing this bucket-mounted hay bale spear (and another one that looks just like it) and see if we can get this guy back up and running by Monday.

Used the engine drive to power the primeweld tig 225 to fix a crack on a pontoon boat this morning, then used it to power the house when the power went out this afternoon. Thanks to Keller Electric for hooking me up.

The welder is in the back of the truck with a bottle of argon. Guess that means I am melting aluminum tomorrow morning.
