Tree Trimming Time!!!!
The best time to trim trees in Kansas is during the dormant season, specifically from late winter to early spring (February through April), before new buds break. This timing minimizes stress, reduces disease spread (such as oak wilt), and allows for faster healing.
Key considerations for tree trimming in Kansas:
• Best Window: Late February through early April is ideal because the wounds seal quickly as the tree enters its rapid growth phase.
• Fruit Trees: Prune in late winter to early spring, ensuring the wood is not frozen.
• Exceptions: Dead, broken, or diseased branches can be removed anytime.
• Avoid: Late summer or early fall is generally not ideal, as it can stimulate new growth that won't have time to harden before winter.

With spring approaching, homeowners should be considering what they can do to remove harmful ice melt products from their concrete driveways, sidewalks and patios. Also consider how to protect them in the future.
Concrete is the most used product in construction in the world. Although it is used for its excellent life span it is not indestructible. With rising cost in construction, it only makes sense to get the most life out of your concrete. With a little care and maintenance, you can get better life from your concrete and reduce the risk of failures.
Even if you use deicers products labeled “safe” for concrete, the products used by state, county and city road crews are corrosive to concrete. As a rule of thumb if it melts ice and snow chemically it is not good for your concrete.
After any snow or winter storm, you rinse your vehicles of these harmful chemicals to prevent rust. Driveways and concrete surfaces need to be rinsed of these also. The moisture containing these products is absorbed by your concrete and this creates the flaking and pitting of your concrete.
With spring approaching we can help you with a plan to protect your concrete from these harmful chemicals. For as little as 30 cents per square foot your concrete will be protected from these harmful chemicals.
We offer a full line of PROSOCO concrete cleaners, sealers and the equipment to prepare and apply. PROSOCO is a manufacturer of specialty products for cleaning, protecting and maintaining concrete.
The cleaners are easily applied with a pump-up sprayer or poured directly onto the stains. Rinse entire surface with high pressure power washer.
Apply SaltGuard products with a pump-up sprayer. SaltGuard products are a water repellent and chloride screen for concrete. Non film forming will not make your concrete surface slippery, the product penetrates the concrete.

We have designed our own line of Squeegees for Micro & Slurry Seal. With the help of customers’ input we now offer two different options.
• The Squeegees are 24” wide, laser cut out of light weight 1/8” aluminum. An 1/8”x1/2” stiffener is welded to the frame to add support.
• They have replaceable 3/16”x2” neoprene rubber squeegee.
• Both have 5 holes for tie wire or wire ties to put a material to turn the squeegee into a “mop”.
• The original design has mounting for a wooden handle.
• The newest has a magnesium handle and bracket interchangeable with the Kraft Tools asphalt lute. This design has a 1” lower profile.

We also stock a Kraft Tools 30” Asphalt Lute (GG830F). Special order for other models.
