Earthtec was proud to provide Special Inspection and Testing Services for the new Utah Valley University Engineering Building. We were teamed up with Shums Coda & Associates as the lead Code Inspection company. This will be a great addition to the University and the State of Utah.

Utah Valley University opened the doors to its newest building on Thursday with a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Scott M. Smith College of Engineering & Technology Building.

The Rio Grande Depot, a historic building in Salt Lake City, is undergoing a seismic stabilization project and renovation to address earthquake damage and potential future uses, including a possible revitalization as a transit hub. Earthtec Engineering is proud to providing Special Inspection and Testing Services. Starting in the basement of the Depot and working all the way to roof line with new reinforced concrete and shotcrete walls the contractor has made incredible progress and is nearing the roof line at the Grand Lobby. This has been a fun project for our Salt Lake office and we look forward to what the Depot will become!

Progress is being made at the new Spencer Fox Eccles School of Medicine Building at the University of Utah. Earthtec Engineering is providing Special Inspection and Testing Services. Per the University, "The new 185,000-square-foot building will become the hub of the university’s nationally recognized health sciences campus. The facilities will accelerate the school’s ability to provide the highest quality medical education, advanced research, and patient care. The $185 million facility has been made possible, in part, by funds from a landmark gift of $110 million from the George S. and Dolores Doré Eccles Foundation and the Nora Eccles Treadwell Foundation. The gift provides support not only for the building but also for medical education programs and cardiovascular research."

Earthtec Engineering’s Lindon, UT office is currently looking for laboratory technician to join our team! Pay is commensurate with experience and certifications.
Laboratory Technicians are entry to experienced laboratory technicians that may hold the appropriate ACI, UDOT, WAQTC and other certifications. They perform daily testing of construction materials and adherence to standard testing requirements. Earthtec Engineering is in need of entry level technicians with no experience to experienced technicians with certifications. Daily work will include the laboratory testing of soils, concrete, asphalt and other materials. Preparing testing reports and providing written documentation of testing of materials. Organizational skills and computer skills are required. You will be provided with safety equipment and all tools required to perform your work.

Construction Special Inspectors are experienced field technicians that hold the appropriate ICC, ACI, AWS and other certifications. They perform daily inspection of construction projects, monitoring quality and adherence to building code requirements, construction drawings and project specifications. Earthtec Engineering is in need of inspectors with expertise in many areas, including structural steel, concrete, masonry, fireproofing, etc. As a Special Inspector your duties will include visual/physical inspection and field testing to verify conformance with the plans specifications. Preparing daily inspection reports and providing written and electronic documentation of observation and testing of materials. Organizational skills, computer skills, good math skills, clean driving record are required. You will be provided with a company vehicle, phone, safety equipment and all tools required to perform your work.
