nspections; engineered retaining walls; renovation of existing construction and/or remodels; and preparation of light gage shop drawings. We work with our clients from initial conception, through schematic design and design development, to preparation of construction documents. We are involved with the construction administration to ensure that projects are completed to meet the expectations of the owner and/or client.

It looks like New Braunfels is getting a new chicken joint!

According to a recent TDLR filing, Layne’s Chicken Fingers, a popular chain out of College Station, is planning a new location at 2564 Loop 337. Construction is expected to begin in mid-July, with a projected opening later this year.

Known for its chicken fingers and signature sauce, Layne’s also serves sandwiches, wraps, shakes, and more, giving locals another fast-casual option to look forward to.

SCI recently had the privilege of delivering a transformative campus expansion for Rose Heights Church. The completed project added 7,373 square feet of new construction, including a 5,880-square-foot foyer addition and a 1,493 square-foot administration addition. In addition, approximately 6,462 square feet of existing space was renovated, encompassing the foyer, administrative offices, restrooms, and key worship environments. The campus now totals 86,282 square feet. A major highlight of the completed project is the comprehensive sanctuary renovation. The worship space has been transformed into a refreshed, contemporary environment that enhances engagement and flexibility. With these improvements now complete, Rose Heights Church is better equipped than ever to welcome guests, foster fellowship, and serve the community. The expanded and modernized campus stands as a testament to the church’s vision for growth, excellence, and lasting impact.
