Big tank, small pump: don't fall for big box store marketing. ⚠️

Oftentimes big box stores sell compressors with large tanks and smaller pumps, sometimes covered with plastic shrouds, to make it look like you're getting a large compressor at a cheaper price. In reality, you're not getting any more for your money.

What matters:
✅ The pump has to produce enough CFM for your application.
✅ The tank size should match the pump size, so your compressor stays within its rated duty cycle while it runs.

Another successful repair at TACC AIR! 🔧

This Emglo came in with a leaking manifold, and the original part isn't made anymore. The customer wasn't sure what to do next or which fittings would even work.

We replaced what needed replacing and switched it over to standard, easy-to-find parts, so future repairs will be simpler too. It's back to running condition, and the customer left happy.

Have your own compressor? Don't forget to blow out your sprinklers and save money by doing it yourself. Here's a few tips: ❄️💧

• Shut off the water supply to your sprinkler system first.
• Use compressed air at low pressure: about 50–80 PSI for PVC lines (lower for flexible poly pipe).
• Do one zone at a time and stop when only a fine mist comes out. Don't keep running a zone once it's dry.
• Open drains and leave valves slightly open so no water stays trapped.
• Don't blow compressed air through your backflow device; it can damage it, so blow out downstream.

Another successful installation!

We recently installed a Tsunami Pure20 Air Dryer, capable of handling up to 80 CFM, as a replacement for the existing refrigerated air dryer in this customer’s system.

With the help of T & A Plumbing, LLC, we also corrected the piping at the dryer where the line had previously been reduced. We increased it back to 1" copper throughout, helping maximize airflow through the system.

We recently added an air storage tank to an existing airline system to provide additional air storage for the customer.

The tank was securely anchored to the concrete, with the air lines professionally routed to and from the tank. We take pride in the details—from proper anchoring and piping to keeping the installation clean and organized.

A good installation should not only work right, it should look right too. 👌

Things happen on the job — that’s what we’re here for!

This compressor came into the shop after it was accidentally tipped over on the job site. The fall broke off the pressure switch, damaged a couple of fittings, and damaged the air filters.
We got it in, repaired the damage, and got it back into working order so the customer could get back to the job and keep things moving.

We don’t always get a finished picture (we forgot to take one this time 😂), but the important part is getting the equipment back up and running.

This Cox hose reel was a special-order setup for a customer who needed 250' of air hose to reach into houses while performing air duct cleaning.

🔧 Another compressor back in service!

This Devair pump came to us after years of use in a busy body shop. The inlet filter had not been serviced as needed, allowing dirt and debris to work their way into the pump. Eventually, the buildup clogged the valves and the pump could no longer produce air as it should.

We completely rebuilt the upper end with new valves and gaskets, cleaned out the corrosion and debris, and got this compressor back up and running for the customer.

A good reminder that proper compressor maintenance can help prevent unnecessary downtime and costly repairs.

Another Job, Another Problem Solved!

A customer called us out because their service truck’s VMAC rotary air compressor was leaking oil.

After looking into it, we found an issue with the separator tank that was causing the leak.

We replaced the separator tank, serviced the compressor, and got them back up and running.

While we were there, we also found a major leak in their filter/regulator/oiler system, so we replaced that as well.

This job is a great example of the variety of compressed air systems and problems we work on. From compressors and service trucks to filtration, leaks, maintenance, and repairs — we’re here to help keep your equipment running.
