Earlier this summer, Caleb Lightfoot joined PlastiCert full-time as our Process Engineer — but he was already a familiar face around here.
Caleb first joined PlastiCert as an engineering intern while completing his Composite Materials Engineering degree at Winona State University. Over the course of his internship, he became an important part of our team while gaining hands-on experience solving real manufacturing problems on our production floor.
After graduating, Caleb made the transition to a full-time engineering role with PlastiCert.
Today, he works closely with our production and engineering teams to troubleshoot problems, improve manufacturing processes, and drive improvements in quality, consistency, and efficiency.
SVP of Engineering, Ben Ninas, summed up why we wanted Caleb on the team:
“His time here as an intern showed that he is the kind of person we wanted on our team — he is a genuinely good person, and his technical skills on the production floor elevate the performance of those around him.”
We’re proud to see a former intern build the next stage of his career here at PlastiCert Inc, and grateful to have programs like the Winona State Composite Materials Engineering program developing talented engineers in our region.
We’re glad to have you on the team, Caleb!
