The die cast tool arrived perfect. The die, the mold, the expensive thing everyone tracks — it shows up, runs on day one, but you can't ship a single part. Backorders are piling up, and leadership asks you, " What's the problem?
The problem is that you also need the tools that trim it, hold it, and measure it. That gear usually gets built on the supplier's floor and never makes the transfer list.
There's one thing we do before a tool leaves the old supplier that makes this recoverable. It only works if it happens first.
